WELCOME TO THE BIKINI CULTURE BLOG
OUR WINDOW INTO WHATS GOING ON IN THE WORLD OF THE BIKINI

ITSY BITSY TEENIE WEENIE BIKINIS!

When the designer of a swimwear brand is an avid surfer and rides a harley you can almost be certain her collection won't be for the faint hearted. Growing up on Venice beach, designer Cassandra Kellogg, lived and breathed everything beachy and always had a passion to translate that love into something of her very own. She was "obsessed with all things associated with the ocean" so while she was working as a fashion stylist she found herself making suits for herself and her photo shoots whenever she had the chance. They were vintage inspired by her favourite costumes from the 80's and 90's. SHe also took a very strong liking to Miami Vice, where the pastels, beach vibe and architecture of Miami spoke to her.

A few years later her swimsuits were picked up and featured in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue and the rest was history. Minimale Animale was born; a line destined for your fashion- forward woman, a girl who is edgy, confident and not afraid to stand out. “The collection is for confident, young-at-heart women who aren’t afraid of wearing something striking, and also for those who embrace their natural beauty and are comfortable in their own skin" says Kellogg.

Miniamle animale allows you to feel powerful and confident. The swimsuits are both athletic and sexy, minimal and extreme, and certainly not for someone who is body shy. We love the mesh tops, high cut bottoms, plunging necklines and 'wing' details and above all the lack of most of tan lines! Kellogg's costumes are curve hugging and manage to show off all our feminine bits in a flattering and, "subtle" cough, way. We also love that you can wear the range as bras and bodysuits and with high wasited pants and shorts!

The barely there line is certainly bringing the 'badass' out of us and turning up the heat in our wardrobes as well as the closet's of many celebrities! We've seen their pieces on Arianna Grande, Giselle Bundchen, Pink, Kate Upton and who could forget the ultimate rebel; Miley Cyrus (yey?).
